It’s not every day a groom shares a little about his wedding. It’s also not every day that you marry the one you love.
Betsy and Henry exchanged vows here in Toronto at The Burroughes Building, a gloriously restored structure built in 1907 that was once a department store. Now, its lovely exposed brick walls, beam ceilings and airy spaces bear witness to heartfelt promises and celebrations.

How did you choose your gown?
“The first thing I looked into after I got engaged was my wedding gown, as I knew I would treasure that garment for the rest of my life. I tried on a dozen dresses from several boutique wedding gown shops in Toronto, but I couldn’t find the ‘perfect’ one – something was missing. Finally, I went to my appointment at Lea-Ann Belter. I was blown away by the variety of styles, superior quality and the best customer service (Ginny was beyond amazing!). After I learned that they can do practically any customizations I wished for, it was settled. The airy and elegant organza, the delicate lace and the unique design on spaghetti shoulder straps, when it all came together, I looked myself in the mirror and whispered ‘I am really getting married!’
