Have you ever flipped through your parents’ wedding album and loved the elegance, simplicity, and warmth you saw pictured? That timeless glow sparkled throughout Lou Ellen and Christian’s Birmingham wedding day!
After exchanging vows at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, they headed off to Avon Theatre, a structure built in 1926 by noted architect Charles H. McCauley. The building’s vintage style played beautifully with the atmosphere this couple developed through everything from the flowers and décor straight on through to their getaway car. Lou Ellen blended present and past herself—her Astrid & Mercedes Coquette gown and lace-edged cathedral veil (which got bustled along with her gown’s train) wouldn’t look out of place in a 1930s or 21st-century wedding album.
