Saying “I do” where the sea is aqua blue and the sand is warm beneath your feet came naturally to Abbey and Ryan. Abbey grew up visiting the Cayman Islands on holiday with her family, and eventually Ryan joined along. It became a special place for both of them, so when Ryan asked Abbey for her hand, they knew exactly where they wanted to tie the knot and chose the Caribbean Club as the just the place.
Though in a tropical paradise, Abbey and Ryan didn’t go super casual with their celebration—it was about blending elegance and the island’s carefree spirit. Case in point, our easy, breezy bride chose our Tallulah top and Fleur skirt from Felicé Bridal—perfect for exchanging vows beside the ocean and dancing up a storm (with light-up kicks!).
How did you choose your gown?
“I actually got my gown at the very first boutique we went to and this dress was exactly what I envisioned for our beach wedding. It was the perfect amount of classy, sexy and comfortable! It had pockets too! I had it for over a year and fell in love with it more and more every single time I went back to try it on.”
Tell us about your day! Did you have a theme or style in mind?
“We wanted our wedding to be simple but elegant. We wanted a lot of white, gold and tropical greenery. “
What was your favorite wedding day moment?
“The first look, seeing my husband and knowing he was going to be mine forever and then dancing the night away with our best friends and family.”
Describe your wedding day in 5 words or less:
“Breathtaking, full of love, fun, carefree.”
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
“We went to Cayman Brac for our honeymoon and stayed at Le Soleil D’or and it was relaxing, beautiful and the service was spectacular.”
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
“Do a destination wedding! It’s the best idea we ever had, and everyone enjoyed it so much.”
