Emily and Hugh’s fall wedding is so glorious you’ll be asking yourself why on earth anyone would get married but in October as they did!
This duo married in Vermont at Hildene, which just so happens to be the Lincoln family’s former summer home. So, not only are the environs spectacular, but so is its history. Plus, when Emily and Hugh said “I do,” the trees were just beginning to turn and the afternoon light had taken on that rich, golden quality that seems to happen only in autumn, when the air is cool and winter is weeks away. Enchanting, right?
That’s pretty much how the rest of the Emily and Hugh’s wedding feels. A beautiful blend of old and new, it has the grace and charm of their circa 1905 venue with an unmistakable, contemporary twist. Case in point: Emily’s Astrid & Mercedes Cherish wedding gown, whose lace, inverted pleats, and full skirt nod to tradition while her sheer back and deep V-neckline are all 21st century!
