Woven throughout with a thread of gold, Tori and Kevin’s rustic chic wedding day radiated authenticity. Married at Big Cedar Lodge, their happily ever after began with a proposal as sweetly cinematic as their celebration.
How did your sweetie propose?
“Kevin surprised me at my parents’ house with an elaborate proposal. He created a path through the house using candles and roses. Along the way, I opened numbered envelopes. Inside each was a picture of us from throughout our relationship, from the beginning to present. At the end of the path was a place for me to wait. I was greeted by members of our family, each with a special message. Then he walked out and proposed! It was very thoughtful and sweet.”
What inspired your wedding day look?
“I wanted to look like me! I was in pursuit of a dress that captured my personality.”
How did you choose your gown?
“When I walked into Town & Country Bridal Boutique, the very first gown I laid eyes on was the Antoinette. It happened to be in town for a bridal show, so it was fate! I instantly knew that it was my dress.”
Tell us about your day!
“We were married at the Chapel at Integrity Hills at Big Cedar Lodge on September 12, 2015. Our guests traveled from all over the country (and a couple from the other side of the world!) to celebrate with us at Table Rock Lake, which is in the southwestern corner of Missouri.”
Did you have a theme or style in mind?
“We didn’t have a theme, but it ended up being rustic chic. My goal was to include as many personal touches as possible to make our day special.”
Do you have any advice for other engaged couples?
“Take time to slow down on your wedding day to enjoy the little moments.”
