There’s all kinds of glam—some super blingy, some red carpet, others just so dang stylish and classic it takes on its own shimmer. Annmarie and George’s wedding day falls into the latter category. There was some actual glitz to be sure; our bride’s shoes (so beautiful!), jewelry, and headpiece were all kinds of fabulous. Everything else was of the innate variety.
After a getting ready sesh worthy of a magazine spread, Annmarie headed to church where she wed her sweet George in a traditional Coptic Orthodox ceremony. Then it was on to Princeton University for some gorgeous photo ops, followed by their reception at The Merion!
Before diving into all their stunning pics and details, we had to share two things—one, our bride left her bouquet behind (such a cute story!), and two, her stylist at Elegant Bride offered her this excellent wedding gown shopping advice:
“A lot of stress is put on the bride to find the perfect dress. My bridal gown consultant said it perfectly when she told me- It’s not about finding the most unique dress, but rather finding a dress to celebrate your marriage to your spouse in.”
How did your sweetie propose?
“My husband proposed during Christmas time in New York City. He told me we had a Groupon for a dance class. When we showed up to the ballroom there was a Christmas tree with personalized ornaments from our past adventures in Manhattan. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!”
