Heart-stoppingly beautiful and full of the kind of tenderness those timeless old love songs are made of, Robin and Ryan’s intimate wedding at Orange Beach, Alabama will leave you weak in the knees. Not so much because of the beautiful details, but because of its simplicity and the love between these two which their photographer, Lauren Wood of Lauren Athalia Photography, captured so eloquently.
Plus that pretty, delicious-looking cake is from one of our favorite bakeries in the south!
“Me and my (now) husband, Ryan, live in Nashville, TN (I’m a native, he’s from CA), but got married on Orange Beach, AL, behind Escapes to the Shores hotel. His mom lives in Daphne, AL, so we had our reception in her and her husband’s house/backyard. I got my flowers from Windsor Florist in Daphne, AL, and our cake was from Publix. Both did such an amazing job…I couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out.
I went to 3 bridal stores, one of which was The Bride Room, that I visited twice, and where I ended up getting my gown. I saw they were having a Lea-Ann Belter trunk show after my first visit, so I decided to book an appointment after viewing the website. I actually fell in love with a different dress online, Lois, that they so sweetly were able to bring in for the trunk show for me, which I am so happy and thankful for! I did love Lois, such a beautiful gown. However, I tried on several during this second appointment, but when I tried on Ingrid, it was just a combination of the fit and flare through the hip, and the flowy bottom, and touch of lace and sweetheart neckline that just worked so perfectly with each other. And really looked the best on me, I couldn’t help but smile, and I knew to stop looking.”
Best wishes, you two, and thanks so much for sharing your day with us!
