An unforgettable destination wedding in Las Vegas, a beautiful bride, a handsome Air Force groom, and a “Say Yes to the Dress” moment for the books…
Heather and Paul’s wedding at Caesar’s Palace was nothing short of epic!
“We got married in Vegas and I planned it from Montgomery, Alabama. We are both military and he’s stationed there, Las Vegas, and I’m in Alabama. Though stationed in Nevada, Paul was a huge part of the planning process and did more than most expect of a groom.
When I was shuffling through wedding magazines I only wrote down one shop, Kelly’s Closet in Atlanta. I went shopping here in Montgomery and almost settled on a dress. But my bridesmaid, who lives in Atlanta, invited me for lunch and dress shopping. We went to a few shops and had a terrible time. At lunch we discussed other shops in Atlanta and she said Kelly’s Closet. They had an appointment open so we went.
When we got there we told them our budget and Vegas. Our attendant kept pulling slinky sexy gowns that I didn’t even want to put on. Then she said ‘are you opposed to a train’ to which I replied ‘I need a train’. She came walking out with this champagne dress that she could hardly carry. I looked at my bridesmaid and said ‘that’s my dress’.
When I tried on Allison I got that feeling. The one they say you will get when it’s the dress? I didn’t even look at the price. I didn’t even ask. I called my fiancé and we got it right then. Every time I tried it on I wanted to cry. I couldn’t wait to get married in it!”
Best wishes, Heather and Paul! Thank you so much for sharing your fantastic pictures and wonderful story. We’re so thrilled you loved your gown so much and had such a magical wedding day!
