The site at Play Estate Winery, where Jessica and Dan wed, is spectacular. As in you blink a few times because the moment and scene is just so perfect – Jessica’s stunning veil fluttering, the sheen of her Astrid & Mercedes Lovely gown in the sunlight, the absolute joy and love permeating the air.
After becoming engaged in an equally beautiful place (more on that later), these two put together a celebration with an intimate, backyard wedding feel – a natural fit with their vineyard venue and the casual, elegant vibe these two share!
Jessica shares the details:
How did your sweetie propose?
“Off the trail looking at the view at the top of the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish, BC.”
How did you choose your gown?
“After trying on over 50 dresses at four shops in two cities, my mom cried when I tried the one I chose on. It was the combination of the simple but beautiful dress, with the dramatic veil that we loved.”
What’s your funniest wedding day memory?
“Speeches… all of them.”
Describe your wedding day in 5 words or less:
“Intimate celebration with many laughs and lots of love.”
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
“Plan ahead and let the day unfold. Remember that the most important part of the day is the commitment you are making to your spouse for the rest of your lives.”
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
“Portugal, with a few days stopover in Paris on the way there, and a few days in London on the way home.”
