Alexa and Scott became engaged on Valentine’s Day. How sweet, right?!
That tenderness clearly is an all-the-time thing for these two lovebirds because their wedding had all the romantic things: twinkle lights, a Mediterranean-inspired venue, ethereal bridesmaid dresses of the most beautiful dusty blue, and lush florals. Truly a scene of timeless romance.
Our night nurse bride exchanged her scrubs for a classic lace wedding dress and let her hair loose. When she appeared at the top of the aisle, we’re 100% sure Scott’s heart skipped a beat.
How did Scott propose?
“Scott proposed to me on Valentine’s Day 2015. We had dinner reservations at Lark on the Park in uptown Dallas and decided to go to Klyde Warren Park first to listen to some live music. We grabbed a glass of champagne and while overlooking the Dallas skyline, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!”
What inspired your wedding day look?
“I wanted a romantic wedding look that was timeless and delicate. I chose my gown because of the detail with the lace, and the flattering waistline and sweetheart neckline.”
Tell us about your day!
“Our day was perfect! I guess how I would describe our style would be romantic classic with a modern twist. We choose a light color palette of pinks, creams and whites with pops of blues. Our main focus and goal was for everyone to cut loose and walk away thinking it was the best party and celebration that they’ve ever been to!”
Do you have any advice for other engaged couples?
“Everyone kept telling both Scott and I that they couldn’t believe how calm we both were on our wedding day. My best advice I could give other engaged couples is to book the vendors that you can’t live without early and to not get caught up sweating the small stuff. It’s important to remember what’s really important, which is each other! Everything else will fall into place. Enjoy the day!”
