Finally, many (though not all) bridal shops offer spLeaecial trunk show pricing, which can translate into lower-than-normal prices or even gifted accessories.

If there’s a trunk show happening at your local bridal boutique, we recommend you visit the designer’s website to see if their style suits yours. If you like what you see, make a trunk show appointment!

If you’ve been shopping for a wedding dress, chances are you’ve heard about trunk shows. They sound kind of like a typical bridal appointment…you visit a bridal boutique and try on wedding dresses. So what exactly is all the fuss?

When a boutique carries a designer (Lea-Ann Belter, for example), buyers choose samples from each collection, selecting only a few gowns from a designer each season. This means that, while there are 19 gowns in our most recent Belle Époque collection, a bridal shop may only have four of those gowns in store.

During a bridal gown trunk show, a designer’s entire current season collection is shipped to the host bridal shop for a weekend (or sometimes a bit longer) . Essentially, a trunk show is a chance to try on a specific designer’s gowns that are not usually available at your local bridal shop. But that’s not all!

Often, a bridal gown designer will go to several trunk shows a year to work with brides-to-be, which in Lea-Ann’s case is an awesome opportunity! Because not only will you get her help choosing your gown, she’ll also make custom changes or even design a one-of-a-kind gown on the spot.
