2016 Bridal Fashion Week | Clair de Lune Collection debut

By the light of the moon. Doesn’t that phrase just give you the good kind of shivers? Say it in French and we’re ready to swoon. Because, of course, French makes everything more romantic, and “Clair de Lune” by Claude Debussy is one of the more beautiful, starry-eyed classical pieces ever. The perfect inspiration for our new 2016 collection, don’t you think?

It all came together in Lea-Ann’s imagination while visiting the impressionist paintings at the Art Gallery of Ontario with her two nieces, Astrid and Mercedes. Entranced by the works of Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Alfred Sisley, and Vincent van Gogh, Lea-Ann couldn’t stop thinking about the era and art movement that found its way into Debussy’s music. The composer’s famous piece, “Clair de Lune,” soon became our atelier’s theme song, and you can see every floating, sparkling, French-inspired note in our new Clair de Lune collection.

We’ll soon have all the details of each and every new Astrid & Mercedes wedding dress on our website, but, for now, peruse all our swirly, twirly, sparkly new frocks below!

(Actually, before you read on, click here to start playing the song for the full effect.)
