Berry Hill Resort Bridal Portraits | Julia

The search for a wedding dress is so much more fun with a sister. And even more so when that sister is a twin! So, when Julia headed to Bellissima in Winston-Salem, NC, it was with her twin sister in tow and a clear idea of the dress she hoped to find. “I knew I wanted a timeless gown—something simple and elegant to suit my personal style (I wanted to feel like me—just in a wedding dress) and to match the feel of the wedding venue, Berry Hill, a Greek revival style mansion built in my hometown in 1839.

I went to Bellissima in Winston-Salem, NC with my twin sister, Andy, and tried on the Mona gown. From the dressing room, she heard me say “I love it”! The dress material felt like a dream! I danced and twirled around the salon feeling like a princess. I always wanted a dress with buttons down the back and without hesitation Lea-Ann Belter Bridal was willing and able to add buttons all the way down the back of the Mona gown.”

“I love all the photos but some of my favorites are on the staircase in the conservatory with the big bright windows and outside in front of the house. I also love the spontaneous pictures we took in the parlor of me sipping on my favorite bourbon cocktail, the old fashioned. Just simple and elegant.”
