Boston Wedding at the ICA | Julia + Cole

Before their classic, elegant Boston wedding, Julia and Cole met as freshmen at Harvard. But they weren’t a duo straight away. Julia and Cole didn’t start dating until a few years later, thanks to some donuts. Not just any donuts (although we’d fall for just about any), these donuts were Julia’s absolute favorites which Cole had overnighted in for her birthday. Super sweet, right? Fast forward a few years and Cole asked Julia for her hand at sunset while they were on a boat tour of Manhattan.

They chose Boston’s Institute of Contemporary Art as the place and September as the time. As fate would have it, this was way back before any of us knew about socially distancing or Covid-19, so the planning, while a challenge (aren’t all weddings?), was free of pandemic-related considerations. They started their day at the Envoy Hotel, where Julia slipped on her Bijou gown and Cole his tux. Then it was on to Harborwalk for their first look and to the ICA for the main event!
