We asked our effervescent bride Lauren (whose wedding pictures you’re about to fall for) to describe her wedding day. And you know what she said? “How can I decide!? I loved every moment!” Girl, we are right there with you!
Lauren and her darling new hubbie, Gregory, tied the knot in Carmel, California within the historic Carmel Mission. After some glorious pics on its grounds, it was off to their Romantic (yes, that’s a capital “R”), twinkle-light-strung reception at The Holly Farm.
After you’ve perused Lauren and Gregory’s wedding pictures, have a peek at their wedding video—it’s every inch as fabulous and you can see her custom gown in action!
How did your sweetie propose?
“We started dating as seniors in high school! He took me to Half Moon Bay, to a restaurant we went to on one of our first “fancy” dates. After breakfast, we were walking along the beach and he got down on one knee and popped the question! I’m pretty sure I said “yes” before he even finished asking me!”
How did you choose your gown?
“I went shopping with my mom, I had a pretty clear vision in mind. Victoria, of Lace and Bustle, really listened to what I wanted and didn’t pressure me to buy. She actually told me to leave and come back because she “thought” she would have exactly what I was looking for! She did! And my dress was entirely custom, so you all really helped my dream come true!!”
Tell us about your day! Did you have a theme or style in mind?
“I wanted my day to just be really romantic. Soft colors, big overflowing blooms. We were getting married in such a grand church and a beautiful reception venue that I wanted it to all flow. We were married at the Carmel Mission and had our reception at The Holly Farm.”
What was your favorite wedding day moment?
“How can I decide!? I loved every moment!”
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
“We stayed in Carmel and Big Sur for a few days, that’s where the wedding was, and then spent the week in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico!”
