Chic Vero Beach Wedding | Sara + Jason
Scented with orange blossom and the sea, Vero Beach is a treasure of a town where manatees play near the gorgeous, long bridges spanning the intracoastal waterway. Just an hour-and-a-half north of the formal elegance of Palm Beach, Vero has a sort of polished, genteel yet genuinely welcoming feel that’s as irresistible as its quiet, white sand beaches.
We tell you all of this because that lovely, gracious vibe echoes every inch of Sara and Jason’s wedding day at the Quail Valley River Club. Though their celebration had style for days (those fabulous striped bridesmaid dresses! Sara’s gorgeous floral shoes! A ceremony overlooking a yacht-filled dock!), the real story here is that of our so-in-love bride and groom.
How did Jason propose?
Sara: “Jason and I have been together for 7 years…so very hard to surprise me with a proposal. He ended up surprising me by proposing in our living room. It was just us and in our first home together. It was simple and perfect for us.”

How did you choose your gown?
Sara: “I was with my mother, sister, and grandmother. My sister and I were visiting Vero and decided to try gowns on at Isabella’s. Madeleine was the third gown I tried on and everyone knew it was the one. My grandma had been sick for awhile and we were unsure if she would make it to the wedding. We wanted her to be a part of it regardless. My grandmother passed away two months before the wedding. I am very thankful for the experience and that my grandmother was able to have a hand in selecting my gown.”
Can you tell me a little about your day? Did you have a theme or style in mind?
Sara: “It was simple and casual. We did not have many of the normal wedding traditions. Wanted to enjoy the day and focus on friends family and dancing.”
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
“When my father was walking me down the aisle…we had to walk down a few steps. At the top of the stairs both of my heels got stuck in the wood planks. Needless to say it was a dramatic entrance. ”
Five words that best describe your sweetie:
“Funny, smart, handsome, caring, and hard worker.”
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
“Cancun, Mexico.”
Any advice for future brides and grooms?
“Enjoy every minute of your wedding day. Don’t focus on the flaws…focus on each other and having fun. It’s a rare occasion that all of your friends and family will be the same room together again.”
