Congress Park Carousel Wedding Editorial

Whirling with hand-wrought detail, the Congress Park Carousel has stood in Saratoga Springs since 1910, when master carver Marcus Charles Illions created its 28 gorgeous horses by hand. His dream was to create something that would enchant kids of all ages (even grown-up ones), and we’d say he succeeded.

So many people have had fun taking a spin atop a prancing pony that the carousel is infused with an infectiously happy energy! Between that and its stunning craftsmanship, it’s the perfect place for a bridal gown editorial shoot, especially when one of the dresses in the mix is our Judith. Layered with Chantilly, Alencon and guipure lace atop silk organza and dupioni, her mix of once-upon-a-time romance and elegance is a natural amongst all those cavorting horses!

After drinking in all the magic below, see more of this Saratoga Living Magazine editorial on photographer Cornelia Traynor’s blog.
