Having a pandemic crash your wedding plans is not ideal. Some couples completely postponed while others carried on, but some couple combined the two, which is exactly what Lauren and Marshall did.
These two chose to marry in May 2020 at Houston’s St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and then host a reception the following September. Like so many ceremonies during the thick of the pandemic, it was an intimate one! Only their immediate family attended in person, while friends and extended family watched via live stream. Though not what they’d planned, the day they exchanged vows was meaningful, beautiful, and filled with sweet moments. Case in point, the surprise Lauren lined up for Marshall—a local musician set up and played in their driveway for their super-romantic first dance.
