Lockdown Lowdown | Ladies of Lineage

Looking for a wedding gown in Charlotte or Fort Mill, North Carolina? Ladies of Lineage is where it’s at! Owner Natasha explains, “At the heart of our Lineage bride is a woman who is boldly and uniquely herself. By carrying separate collections across our two stores, we have a little something for every bride. Whether she’s got clean, classic style or more of a whimsical, boho vibe—after all, it’s the bride who makes the gown, not the other way around. Our bride is one who cares about the quality of her gown and wants a unique and intimate boutique experience.“

Such a genuine approach to matching women with their gowns is one of the many reasons brides adore Ladies of Lineage! Natasha and her team love what they do, so though they can’t meet with brides in person, they’ve come up with a really clever solution while the physical stores are temporarily closed.

What are you doing with your time away from the shop?

“Ladies of Lineage is excited to be offering a Virtual Bridal Market to 2020 and 2021 brides during our time away from the shop. We’ve curated a virtual platform to allow brides shopping for gowns and accessories to get a 1-on-1 boutique experience. Through virtual Zoom consultations, we are walking brides through the gown buying process and helping them find their dream dresses. We’re also helping brides complete their wedding day look and find the perfect accessories through styling appointments.”

Though not exactly the same as meeting with their brides in person, it’s close and a wonderful way to connect during these crazy times!

What is this time making you value the most?

“This time of uncertainty is making us value our brides even more than we already did. A woman’s wedding day is one of the biggest moments and happiest days of her life. We’ve always considered it an honor to be chosen to play such a special role in a bride’s wedding day. Now, it means even more when current and new brides are reaching out to us for support and advice on how to navigate wedding planning and dress shopping. It allows us to still bring joy and happiness into their planning process by keeping the focus on the bride and her big day vs. her wedding being overshadowed by any other events.”

What is your fave Lea-Ann Belter gown?

“It’s impossible to pick a favorite, but if we had to narrow it down to two, our favorites would be the Diana and the Marigold!

Diana has an element of classic beauty and tradition that many brides are looking for. For us, Diana is the gown you dream of getting married in as a little girl. From the stunning rusching in the bodice to the silk taffeta fabric, it has all the elements needed to make up a bride’s dream dress!

The Marigold is our favorite for a different reason. She’s the gown that is a curveball that nobody sees coming. We often have brides who are set against a mermaid/trumpet/fit and flare style, but when we throw Marigold on our brides, their jaws drop. She maintains a classic bridal feel but pushes a modern edge with the stunning peplum detail on the train and the vertical seaming that helps lengthen any body type. Another reason we love her is because she’s so versatile when it comes to styling. Her look can be completely transformed by adding a Laurel or Pippa bolero, giving brides the option for two separate looks on their wedding day!”
