Lockdown Lowdown | Tulle Bridal Store Profile

Tulle isn’t just any Boston bridal shop. It’s owned by Heidi Janson, whose heartfelt approach to bridal focuses on giving back. In 2008, she founded Brides Across America, a charitable organization that gives back to military and first responder brides! That same thoughtful, advocating mindset is present at Tulle, a space where Heidi not only hopes brides will find the gown of their dreams but where she encourages every woman who walks through her doors to be true to themselves as they search for The Dress. Also, Tulle has a couple of cute mascots—Heidi’s pups Hank and Grace (peep at those cuties below!)

When we asked Heidi about what a Tulle bride’s style was, she had this to say:

“Our bride’s style is a wonderful combination of a boho babe and a timeless, classic bride. Our goal is to make every bride feel beautiful and confident in the dress of their dreams. We’ve handpicked our dresses to reflect her style. There’s a mixture of bohemian flair, simple, comfortable, and unique dresses that come across as relaxed sophistication at Tulle. Which is why we loved the Astrid and Mercedes Stardust collection so much—it fits right in.”

What are you doing with your time away from the shop?

“In my time away from the shop, I like to be surrounded by the people and things that I love. Spending time with my family and my pups (Hank and Grace) is very important to me. Since I was a child, I have loved art and fashion, nature, and animals. I love exercising, doing yoga, and cooking.”

What is this time making you value the most?

“This time is making me value my family and friends and the importance of helping others. We are all going through hard times, and it is important to do your part and to lend a helping hand. “Love is patient, Love is kind. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” My philosophy in life is to be compassionate to the needs of others, and it is important to me to be authentic, strong, and inspiring. I am passionate about what I do, and I love helping people.”

What is your personal favorite Lea-Ann Belter or Astrid & Mercedes gown?

“I love simplicity, fresh, timeless looks with a bit of bohemian mixed in. I love to blend the old with the new to bring a look together. Lea-Ann belter gowns have a beautiful mixture of these. Dream was a personal favorite because it incorporates a modern style with a sophisticated and timeless look. Our brides loved this dress!”
