Your Dream Bridal is more than an intimate Boston bridal shop offering a carefully curated collection of designer gowns. It’s a special, one-of-a-kind place where brides get the entire boutique to themselves during their one-on-one appointment with owner Malinda Macari. Malinda has put a ton of heart into making Your Dream a bridal oasis—it’s chock-full of modern, sophisticated, and elegant gowns, all of which can be customized to a bride’s wedding-day vision of herself. For Malinda, helping her brides find perfect, timeless-with-a-unique-twist gowns is a labor of love.
On March 12, Malinda temporarily closed Your Dream’s physical space to self-isolate at home with her two-year-old son. Since then, she’s run Your Dream remotely. “I have been trying to help brides when I can, making sure dresses are coming in and if a bride wants to say yes remotely, trying to help her. I am grateful for my designers like Lea-Ann in turning around brides’ dresses quickly.”
Though she sorely misses going to Your Dream every day to work with her brides, Malinda is cherishing the time with her little boy. “I haven’t spent this much time with my son since he was five months. I stayed home a while when he was born. Being with him now and trying to find a new routine, hearing his new words, and having so much mommy time. And my brides have been wonderful. Working with them and trying to help the best I can with anything they need.”
When we asked Malinda what her fave Lea-Ann Belter gown was, she went back to an oldie but goodie: “There was a dress a while back when I first opened named Maude. I loved that dress’s lace and shape. It looked amazing!”
