Alex and Sarah live in Canada now, but back when they were eighteen, they were still home in Monaco. One day, they were out with mutual friends at the Monaco Harbor, and the moment Sarah laid eyes on Alex, it was love. Says Sarah, “I just knew—a feeling I couldn’t explain. After only 6 months I remember saying to my mom that Alex and I would accomplish great things together.” They’ve been together ever since.
How did Alex propose?
“We had just arrived at a cottage to celebrate Christmas with our friends. He told me he wanted to show me the sunset from the iced lake. I did not really want to go because we had just arrived after 3 hours driving and it was cold, but he insisted, so I went… We walked a little, and then he put his knee down and proposed. It was a complete surprise and such an amazing memory!”

How did you choose your gown?
“We organised a girl day with my mom, sister, and closest friend who was also to be my witness for the wedding. The Cressida gown was at the back of the store in a corner and it caught everybody’s eye. I tried a different dress first, and liked it. And then I tried Cressida on and right away knew it was the one. It felt comfortable, looked very elegant and modern, and I had myself a “wow”, which I never have with any clothes that I try.”
Tell us about your day!
“We wanted an elegant and classy wedding, but more importantly one that would bring everyone we love together. We are from Monaco, and have lived in Canada for 9 years, so for us, the wedding was a way to have everyone from all around the world gathered at one place to celebrate.”

“Happiness, love, smiles, and champagne.”
What was the funniest moment of your day?
“During our first dance, after only a few seconds in, a couple of friends joined us, and it actually brought all of our guests to join us. This wasn’t planned and we had the biggest laugh, it was really one of the highlights of the day!”
