“I sang karaoke and shot pool in that dress!” Clearly, our sassy bride Taylor is a blast to be around. Also, yaaaaas, girl! Because a wedding dress should not only make a woman feel her most beautiful self, but also be conducive to having the best time ever. And the fact that, for Taylor, the dress in question was our Astrid & Mercedes Graceful? Well, we’re honored.
Engaged on a corner in Brooklyn (it’s a special spot, as you’ll find out below), these two New Yorkers wed and celebrated in Little Neck at the fabulous Il Bacco Ristorante with a wedding that had all the best ingredients – simplicity, zest and fun!
How did Tim propose?
From Taylor:
“It was a surprise. Tim proposed on the corner of 6th Avenue & 20th Street in South Slope, Brooklyn. During our courtship, we would always meet on this corner because it was sort of equidistant from our apartments. He asked, I said yes and when I turned around I discovered I was being filmed and that all my friends and family had been watching from the pizzeria across the street. Afterward we all celebrated over pizza & wine. It was a perfect day.”

How did you choose your gown?
“I should preface this by saying I had no idea what I wanted. My mother made an appointment at The White Gown on 5th Ave in NYC. Lea-Ann’s dress was the third dress I tried on and I just knew….it is simple, elegant and classic. We made the decision that day.”
Tell us little about your day! Did you have a theme or style in mind?
“Tim and I wanted a big, fun no frills party. The ceremony and cocktail hour were held on the rooftop of Il Bacco and the reception was in the hall downstairs. We wanted to dance all night and celebrate with friends and we did just that…until 4 a.m.! I sang karaoke and shot pool in that dress!”
What’s your funniest wedding day memory?
“While in New Orleans for my bachelorette party, my friends and I all pitched in for a pug mask that moves when you talk (it’s sort of horrifying). We named it “Pug Head” which, I think, makes sense. Anyway, we brought him out during the reception and A LOT of guests wore Pug Head out on the dance floor.”
Five words that best describe your sweetie:
Tim is: Hysterical, Honest, Intelligent, Strong, Loyal
Taylor is: Sexy, Smart, Funny, Fashionable, Talented
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
“It’s a stressful time so stick together and split up the work if possible. Make it your ideal day! Good food & good music to dance to is always a win.”
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
“Mykonos and Santorini in Greece.”
