One of Lindsey and Gavin’s first dates was at the Hollywood Bowl. The two attended a showing of the film Jurassic Park while the Los Angeles Philharmonic played the soundtrack live. From that day on, the film’s opening theme became their unofficial song!
Gavin was planning to propose when he learned that you could take a helicopter tour in Hawaii that flies you past the waterfall in the film’s opening. Unbeknownst to Lindsey, he planned a proposal getaway for months, so when he suggested an impromptu trip to Maui, she had no idea what was up his sleeve!
The proposal magic began with surprising her with the helicopter ride. Once aboard, it was epic, especially when they approached that iconic waterfall as the pilot played Jurassic Park’s theme song over their headsets. On the way back to the heliport, the pilot stopped on a grassy area on the side of Haleakala, the island’s resident volcano. There, while they enjoyed the stunning coastline view, Gavin asked a fellow tour passenger to snap a pic of the two of them on his phone. As Lindsey turned to him to say she was ready for the picture, Gavin dropped to one knee and asked her for her hand.
Next-level romantic, no?
Together, these two planned a lovely, timeless wedding in Winter Park, Florida, at which Lindsey wore her Lea-Ann Belter Lourdes topper (which she got 100% via Zoom from Brides by the Falls!) and Anne Barge gown.
