Toronto Wedding at Hotel Ocho | Alix + Julian

A breath of modern, romantic air, Alix and Julian’s day was a wonderful expression of their lives together. It began with Alix slipping on her custom Lea-Ann Belter separates at The Broadview Hotel, while Julian and his groomsmen prepared at their home with kitteh looking on (check out that sweet ginger face!). The two then took separate journeys to the park across the street from their place, where Alix and Julian saw each other for the first time as bride and groom. Before heading to Hotel Ocho where they planned to wed and party, they popped over to the R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant. This may not sound like somewhere you’d want to go pre-wedding, but it’s pretty fantastic. Right on the water, the plant has incredible views of Lake Ontario, and the buildings have striking Art Deco style—the perfect backdrops for photo ops!

At Hotel Ocho, Alix and Julian exchanged vows in an industrial space warmed by candlelight, greenery, and their over-the-moon smiles. Then it was on to their minimalist reception whose flavor was just as welcoming and genuine. By the way, we now think every newlywed needs a neon sign bearing their name. If it looks so great at the reception, just think how cool it would look at home!
