Planning a February wedding? Take a tip from McKenzie and Jeremy— play up Cupid’s holiday and create the sense that spring is just around the corner. McKenzie carried a lovely, bright dried flower bouquet, paired her Diana ball gown with a luxurious faux fur wrap, and piled her hair into a gorgeous bun atop her head. Meanwhile, Jeremy wore a handsome blue suit whose color was echoed by their wedding party.
Their warm celebration also happened to take place at Hamilton Hall in Salem, MA, which, in addition to having a gorgeous interior, happens to be one of the most important Federal-style buildings in all of the US!
Side note: According to the Hamilton Hall site, “Facing various expenses, in 1826 the Proprietors decided to rent part of the building to a free black man of Caribbean descent. John Remond ran his catering business out of The Hall for many years… Years later, one of Boston’s best-known dance instructors leased space in The Hall…. Although dancing was still controversial, it became increasingly accepted and popular. With the help of McIntire’s famous flexible spring ballroom floor, Hamilton Hall became a well-known dance hall.”
All that happy, forward-looking energy is perfect for a wedding, don’t you think?
