It doesn’t get any more city chic than Victoria and Brent’s wedding. Surrounded by skyscrapers shimmering in the late afternoon sun, these two got married on a Dallas rooftop. That same clean-lined vibe was all over their wedding, from the flowers and cake to the sequined tablecloths and, of course, Victoria’s fabulous look. Every inch a foxy, elegant, modern bride, she wore her hair down and rocked our Astrid & Mercedes Joy gown!
How did you guys get engaged?
“Brent and I had just moved into our new house that we built. It was maybe two weeks after that we were home for our lunch break. I could tell he was acting weird, pacing and not sitting still. I asked him, “Brent are you okay??” and he answered with a puzzled look, “yeah I’m fine.” Then I went outside with him to watch the solar eclipse of ’17, and when it was over he hugged me and I felt a ring in his pocket (I thought it was my band that he took 2 weeks ago). I said “Oh my gosh, did you leave my ring in your scrubs?? I probably washed it and everything!” Then he pulled out the engagement ring!!! Then he said to me, I love you and will you marry me?? I said YESSSS!!”

How did you choose your gown?
“It was my first time to go looking for a dress, and I had the idea of an open back with a high neck. But when I walked into the bridal boutique, the first dress I saw was a low cut, banded waist, and a big bottom, not a single bead or lace on it. I’m very simple, I love simplicity. The dress was so simple yet so timeless and elegant, with a little bit of sexy and I knew it was for me!!”
What’s your funniest wedding day memory?
“WEDDING CAKE!! I was looking forward to the wedding cake all day long!!! Not sure why, but I loved all our loved ones being there to celebrate and party though the night together. We had an awesome DJ & dance floor. Dancing under the string lights with all the city buildings around us was literally amazing!!”
Tell us about your day! Did you have a style or theme in mind?
“I honestly didn’t have a theme, but I did want something bright, clean, and simple. We went for simple colors; white, green & gold. It turned out perfectly!”
What was your first dance song?
“We danced to the song from Ghost, Unchained Melody. We love that song so much!”
Describe your wedding day in 5 words or less:
“Dreamy and a fairytale wedding.”
Where’d you go on your honeymoon?
“We went to Bora Bora for our honeymoon, and it was the most beautiful place ever. Jaw dropping!!!! It was amazing!
Do you have any advice for other planning couples?
“It’s your day, don’t let anyone make you feel bad about any of your decisions. You’re the bride, it’s your day, OWN IT!!!! I did and don’t regret it — at all!!!!”
