After a quiet engagement at home with their two pups, Skyler and Gaston set about planning what was to be the Most AMAZING Day. EVER. These two have roots in Texas and even went to the same high school and on to Texas A&M at the same time, but they didn’t officially connect until meeting through mutual friends. So, naturally, they chose to marry near home at the historic Monroe Pearson building. With open, high-ceilinged spaces and a striking industrial aesthetic, it was perfect for the party they were planning!
When searching for her gown, Skyler went straight to Bridal Boutique Lewisville, where she fell for Sofia’s breezy, full skirt. “Once I tried it on, I knew it was the one!”
From Skyler, whose first dance tune was Coldplay’s “Yellow” before she and Gaston jetted off to a Tahiti honeymoon:
How did you know Gaston was “the one”?
“I knew Gaston was the one pretty quickly. After seeing how he treated all of his friends and family, I could see what a great guy he was.”

One wedding detail you couldn’t live without?
“On my bouquet, I had pictures of both sets of my grandparents who passed away.”
What was the funniest moment of your day?
“I couldn’t get his ring on his finger and had to forcefully push it on!”
What was your something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue?
“My grandma’s sapphire ring she gave me was my old and blue; shoes were my new; I borrowed my sister’s veil.”
Three words that best describe Gaston:
Skyler: “Hard-working; my best friend; so, so handsome.”
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
“Don’t stress the little things!”
