Though both Katherine and Luke are from the same town and went to high school together, they barely knew each other growing up. After meeting through Luke’s sister, who reconnected with Katherine during the pandemic, they got ice cream on their first date, and it’s been a Luke and Katherine tradition ever since. So, naturally, they had an ice cream cart at their wedding reception! That sweet treat was just one of many meaningful details that came together on their North Carolina wedding day. Even her wedding bouquet got in on the action—a sleeve of her grandmother’s wedding dress was wrapped around its base, and tucked into the flowers was her other grandmother’s handkerchief.
When searching for her wedding dress, Katherine fell in love with our rose brocade at Bellissima in Winston-Salem. She then chose a ruched ball gown with a gorgeous back bow and ordered it in the fabric she adored.
