Classic Wedding at Bragg-Mitchell Mansion | Anna + Jake

When Anna and Jake met in college (their dorm rooms were right above one another!), they hit it off immediately. Says Anna, “We started dating soon after we met. It was meant to be!”

In time, the two got engaged and began planning a wedding at Alabama’s Bragg-Mitchell Mansion that was all classic elegance. We’re talking a trolley, vintage car, a tent sparkling with twinkle lights and a flower chandelier, and lots of love and dancing!

Anna paired her Valentina gown with an off-the-shoulder lace jacket, a dreamy cathedral veil, and the most stunning white orchid bouquet you’ve ever seen. Later, she traded her veil for white orchids, which looked amazing and were way better for dancing!

Anna, who took to the floor with Jake to “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers, shares a little more about her day below:

One detail you couldn’t live without?

Most definitely our live painter, Melissa Munger. She captured the essence of our day and our first dance so beautifully.

What was your something old, borrowed, new, and blue?

Something old: I wore my mom’s garter that her grandmother had made for her.

Something borrowed: My mom’s beaded clutch. My grandma gave it to my mom to use for her wedding, and I borrowed it for the rehearsal and wedding day.

Something new: My earrings and a beautiful pearl bracelet gifted by my husband!

Something blue: My shoes!
