Roxanne Gown in a Historic Tuckahoe Wedding | Bella + Ruslan

After a week of rainy, unseasonably cool weather, the first of June dawned bright and warm just in time for Bella and Ruslan’s day! While both elements can make for an extra cozy, romantic celebration, this change in circumstance was ideal.

Though their Eastern Orthodox wedding ceremony was at St. Cyprian Orthodox Church, they’d planned a reception at their venue’s beautiful, tented outdoor space. Built between 1730 and 1740, Historic Tuckahoe was once Thomas Jefferson’s home and boasts formal gardens perfect for an early summer celebration. So, the sun’s rays were extra welcome!

Effortless Garden Elegance

You know how when dreary weather passes everything is greener and the flowers more vibrant? Bella seemed to embody that same fresh beauty in her classic wedding dress, our Lea-Ann Belter Roxanne ball gown. The floral jacquard fabric echoed the garden’s renewed blooms, while her fresh blue and white color palette and delicate nature-inspired details created a seamless blend with Historic Tuckahoe’s iconic setting.

For her traditional Eastern Orthodox ceremony, Bella styled her gown’s full skirted silhouette with a lovely rose-lace jacket and clean-edged Cathedral veil. Her bridesmaids were just as summery in a bouquet of pretty sky blue and floral dresses while the groomsmen looked sharp in coordinating dark blue suits.
