From the day Brooke opened Milk & Honey Bride in Virginia Beach five years ago, she has carried Lea-Ann Belter gowns. We’re so proud to be part of such a fantastic boutique!
Milk & Honey is stellar for so many reasons (excellent selection, welcoming, authentic vibe), but, first and foremost, they’re size inclusive—something near and dear to our hearts. Explains Brooke, “I sample in all sizes up to a 30 so that all women can have the same amazing experience while shopping for their wedding gown.” Plus, Milk & Honey’s two fitting rooms have private viewing areas, which creates a super relaxed setting in which women of all shapes and sizes can find their dress.
Brooke’s love of bridal gowns spans 20 years—she’s been working in bridal salons ever since graduating high school, so you know that passion runs deep, ladies! The same goes for her manager, Diane, whose mom was a professional tailor specializing in bridal gowns—an intuitive knowledge of fit and fashion is her superpower! Like so many small businesses did when the pandemic hit, Milk & Honey Bride temporarily closed their doors to help keep their brides and community safe. But, as you’ve probably learned from all our retailers featured here on the blog during this time, a bridal boutique owner’s work is never done!
What are you doing with your time away from the shop?
“During the shutdown, we’ve been working hard to support our brides! I have been in the shop daily to organize deliveries coming into the shop and curbside pickups for women picking up their dresses. We’ve also been offering complimentary shipping to any bride who can’t come to pick up their dress, as well as storing all gowns for my brides who have had to postpone their big day.
I’ve also been helping style our brides through virtual accessory appointments, as well as giving new brides a little pre-shop of our collection to prep for their first in-person appointment!”

“Hands down, Valentina is both Diane’s and my favorite! What a special, stunning gown.”
