Fast forward several years, and these two were planning their elegant, chic St. Louis wedding at The Missouri Athletic Club.
Smitten from the Start
On a quest for a classic wedding dress, Catherine booked an appointment at Berry Bridge Bridal. When she slipped on a Lea-Ann Belter Bridal gown of floral jacquard, it was L-O-VV-E. “The strapless neckline and the material of the dress itself – it was so perfect!” Though the ball gown she’d fallen for wasn’t a drop waist, she was willing to throw that detail out the window. “I was so in love with the dress I was not willing to look further.” That’s when the team at Berry Bridge told her that we at Lea-Ann Belter Bridal can customize! “I was thrilled to hear that Lea-Ann was willing to alter the waistline of the dress to make it a drop waist for me. Our lovely bride adored her gown so much that she preserved it after her wedding so that her future daughter could wear it someday!
How did you personalize your day?
During the father-daughter dance, I played a slideshow of old photos of my dad and me. I also gave my sisters bracelets with their birthstone and mine on them.
My 4 sisters were bridesmaids, and I also named 16 friends “friends of honor,” which allowed them all to act as honorary bridesmaids and join in the fun all day too!
Tell us about finding your gown!
I was open to trying various wedding gown styles, but I knew I was looking for a gown that was both timeless and chic. I went to Berry Bridge Bridal and fell in love with the jacquard fabric on this dress, the strapless neckline, and the material of the dress itself – it was so perfect! One thing it was originally missing for me was a drop waist, but I was so in love with the dress I was not willing to look further. I was thrilled to hear that Lea-Ann was willing to alter the waistline of the dress to make it a drop waist for me. Waiting for the reveal was so exciting – it was everything I could have dreamed of and more!!
