Esme Gown in a Springer Estate Wedding | Amber + Tim

A rainbow and pink clouds heralded the end of a rainy day and the moment Amber and Tim got engaged! Later, that romantic backdrop came into play on their wedding day.

A Blush Gown as Romantic as the Night Tim Proposed

For two years, Amber walked by our Toronto shop. She lived in our neighborhood and loved to peek at the timeless wedding dresses in our windows. Freshly engaged and home from her trip with Tim to Croatia, Amber made an appointment to try on the gowns she’d long admired. As she shopped our racks with our stylist and owner Vanessa, “I was impressed by the high-quality fabrics, options for customization, sustainability practices, and local feel of a Toronto-based shop and Canadian designer.” And then, amongst all the other gowns, one in particular caught her eye. A lovely off-the-shoulder  ball gown whose blush hue called to mind the evening Tim proposed.

Though Amber had a good feeling about Esme, she decided to venture to other Toronto boutiques. But as she tried on other dresses, she couldn’t shake her time at Lea-Ann Belter. “I knew my dress was perfect when I couldn’t stop thinking about it even after visiting other dress stores… the flower pattern and blush shade of the fabric were so elegant and unique. Vanessa made the whole experience feel so special, and it meant a lot that she took a relationship-first and customer satisfaction approach throughout.”

o We were travelling around Croatia and he had booked dinner at a nice outdoor restaurant while we were on the island of Hvar. That same day before the dinner reservation, there was a major rain storm and we had to take cover for hours at a small bar. We thought that it might rain all day and that we might need to cancel our dinner plans, but then two hours before our reservation the sky opened up to a rainbow and pink clouds. Back at our AirBnB we went up to the roof with some wine and he proposed to me with the backdrop of the terracotta rooftops and sunset.

I live two blocks away from the Lea-Ann Belter flagship Toronto wedding dress store and spent the previous two years walking by the shop and admiring the gowns on display in the windows.

When I went in to try on dresses, I was impressed by the high quality fabrics, options for customization, sustainability practices and local feel of a Toronto-based shop and Canadian designer. My dress stood out to me from the second I saw it – I had to do a double take “…is it slightly… pink?”, “Yes, a faint Blush shade” Vanessa corrected me. I knew my dress was perfect when I couldn’t stop thinking about it even after visiting other dress stores… the flower pattern and blush shade of the fabric was so elegant and unique. Vanessa made the whole experience feel so special and it meant a lot that she took a relationship-first and customer satisfaction approach throughout.
