Opal Gown & Lace Jacket in a Palmetto Club Wedding | Mary Allison + Ryan

If you haven’t grown up in a warm part of the world, December in South Carolina is enchanting. There are wreaths on doors and twinkle lights in trees. Yet, the sun is shining, and the breeze balmy. That combination of festive vibes and gorgeous weather are perfect for a wedding.

That’s exactly what Mary Allison and Ryan mut have been thinking when they planned their Christmas celebration in Columbia, SC. Classic was in effect on their day, but with a southern twist. They wed at the historic (and distinctly pink) First Presbyterian Church and then adjourned to the equally iconic Palmetto Club for their reception.

Timeless Glamour, Southern Charm

While elegance had a role to play on their wedding day, Mary Allison and Ryan did black tie their own way. The bridesmaids wore long white gowns with understated Watteau trains. Ryan wore a tux with an adorable bow tie and chic smoking loafers. And our bride in Lea-Ann Belter Opal, her spaghetti strap ball gown, and lace jacket, was utterly timeless. But it’s her absolute, unmitigated joy and his how-did-I-get-so lucky expression that creates an infections atmosphere of love and fun.
