An early 20th-century Arts-and-Crafts estate set the scene for Blythe and Callaway’s day. Situated on the shores of the Lafayette River in Norfolk, the Hermitage Museum was the perfect spot. Callaway is a Marine, and Blythe a creative!
Together, they planned a day that captured their story through personal touches and loads of vivid, summery color.
Modern Bride, Storybook Dress
Long before their first just-married kiss beneath a gorgeous, ancient oak tree, Blythe went in quest of a modern wedding dress that hinted at storybook romance. So when she met Astrid & Mercedes Poet, a floral jacquard ball gown at Milk and Honey Bride, it was love! Poet’s jewel neckline, open back, and twirly, swirly skirt spoke to her penchant for classic lines and vintage-inspired style. Plus, it paired perfectly with her white, opera-length gloves and cathedral veil.
