What happens when longtime friends go out on a date? In Yasaman and Rouzbeh’s case, they found out that the right person had been there all along! Following a sweet backyard engagement, these two began planning a wedding in either France or Italy. Remembers Yasaman, “We loved the chic, effortless, outdoorsy, yet cozy feel of European venues, but due to COVID travel restrictions, we decided to go with the Eagle’s Nest Golf Club. It has a beautiful pond, lovely outdoor space, and a beautiful reception space surrounded by windows facing the golf course.” Then, these two gelato lovers made sure to include a retro gelato cart for the reception, as well as a “his and hers cocktail sign with our favorite drinks and our pictures—my cocktail definitely won as it was a Mexican mule!”

Then came the easy part of finding just the right gown…or so Yasaman thought. “The gown was harder than finding the groom, for sure! I visited all the stores in the GTA and other shops within 25 km of Toronto. Nothing really fit my vision. I started looking into custom dresses, but I could not find anyone I wanted to work with until I came to Lea-Ann Belter and met Vanessa! She’s an angel from heaven! We had to push our wedding to this year because of COVID, and she was so patient. We had almost two years to design the dress and discuss my ideas, which was absolutely fantastic. After many revisions, we went with a sharp/pointy edge strapless neckline, beautiful French lace with a layer of sparkle underneath the lace, and horsehair hemming. We also added a beautiful lace jacket for the top to get the “two-dress” look that I always loved and wanted. The veil and the headpiece were the cherry on top! My veil had beautiful crystals on the edges and towards the bottom, and my hairpiece was delicate and beautiful.”

Three words that best describe your partner:

My wife Yasaman is hardworking, loving, and beautiful!”
Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Any tips for couples getting married?
“Take the week leading to the wedding to relax, enjoy your time with your family and have fun! Then, on the day of the wedding, take some time to enjoy all the beautiful details and remember that everyone is there to celebrate you and your Fiancé. So don’t worry about planning, things that may go wrong, or anyone other than your significant other.”
