Our laid-back bride Summer met her sweetie under the sea!
“My husband is a submarine pilot, and we met on a ship when I was working as an ROV (remotely operated vehicle) technician. It was truly love at first sight.”
The two planned an April wedding in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, which, if you’ve visited that time of year, can get warm. So, when searching for her gown, Summer wanted something that spoke to her style and would feel (and look) great. She loved elements of a couple of Lea-Ann Belter gowns and so combined them to create the perfect dress!
“I loved the sheer top and lace and fitted crepe bottom we ended up creating! I think it was the combination of the Ophelia dress top and Anika skirt (VERY comfortable) with buttons going down and bustle hooks. I got SO many compliments on my dress and couldn’t have been happier with the look and feel of it all night. It was very comfortable to do all my dances in, especially given my hot-ish April Florida wedding!”
Despite some concerns about rain, Summer’s day was darn near perfect—from the weather to the vibes.
“We planned the wedding for 9 months and as you know many places (especially in South Florida), you always take a gamble hosting the wedding outside. Luckily, we were so blessed the day was perfect and rained for like 30 seconds. We did have a tent just in case. We couldn’t be happier with the day and how everything turned out.”
